Axana Soltan is an international lawyer and professorial research scholar focusing on international criminal law, human rights, and gender justice. She is the recipient of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Justitia Award from the Palace of Justice, seated at the Supreme Court of Vienna, Austria, and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2024.
Soltan holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) and Post-Juris Doctor (LL.M.) from The George Washington University School of Law, where she was a Merit-Based Scholar and honored with the Martin Luther King Jr. Civil Rights Award. She served as a guide editor for the George Washington International Law Review and worked under the Honorable Judge Michael J. Ryan at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Soltan currently is reading policy at the University of Oxford and serving as a Chief Senior Advisor in Access to the President of the Oxford Union.
